Well I've been a Jeti fan for quite a few years now . This came about after fitting a TX module in to a MC24 TX belonging to a team member for him to use in airframes for F5D pylon comps. At that time Jeti 2.4 had only been available for a few short weeks but even so when we asked Jeti for alterations to their RXs, namely longer RX aerials to reach outside the fully carbon F5D airframes, Jeti responded within a week supplying new hardware with 400mm twin aerials FOC! Their response impressed me and there customer service just got even better over time.
I then continued to compete alongside my team mate, he with his Jeti and me with my JR in the UK pylon leagues and nationals year after year. We also competed in pylon comps across Europe including the world championships in Romania. Our Final comp together being the F5D world champs held in Muncie 2010 were his Jeti system continued to work "100%" faultlessly as it had done comp after comp in the harshest of environment's and countless practice sessions where other 2.4 systems had often failed.
When it was time for me to change my own TX I finally took the plunge last year buying a shiny new DS16 Tx and went 100% Jeti for all of my airframes. These vary from small park flyers to IC both large and small right through to to 1/4 scale large jets and have not looked back since. I'm continued to be impressed with the capability's and robustness of the Jeti 2.4 Systems and its hardware. I feel I am being looked after, listened too and being presented with both useful software improvements and am continually being presented with new hardware that's practical, reliable and affordable right at the forefront of areo modelling needs. As a previous owner of both DX18 & QQ I feel I got screwed twice.. Once when they came out with the firmware for DX18 to get it close to the QQ (due to a lot of complaints) second when they came out with DX9 which in my opinion was a better transmitter than both the DX18 or the QQ. As for the worth of it... well I jumped the gun before the market would get flooded with DSM2 and DSMX receivers and gave my transmitter away with all the receivers (and satellites) I took out when I converted to Jeti.

I'm very happy w/SpXXXX equipment (only maker I've ever owned since starting 3yrs ago) but have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the marketing "methods", I bought the Dx8 as my first radio thinking get as much as you can & grow into it, then the 18 came out & I bought that, then the 9 with all the newer features, got that & sold the 8, now they come out w/the 18's w/voice & there's no recourse to buyers of the earlier 18's, either stick w/the 18 or, again, buy another radio, I bought 2 last year & another one this year? I seriously considered a Jeti before the 18 but figured with all the models I had to replace all the Rx's would become too expensive, considering it'll be buying 3 radios instead of just 1 it looks like it may have evened out, seriously concerned at this point w/buying the SpXXXX over the Jeti (again) as what does SpXXXX have planned to sell 6 months from now! Strangest situation I've ever felt in a hobby, SpXXXX/HH, don't know whether I love'em or hate'em, don't know if I'm gonna "stick w/the SpXXXX addiction" or change over!


Do Not Just Throw it Away. Jeti's Serviceable Hardware & Upgrades!!!


We think that the era of disposable gadgets should end. Especially when we are talking about high dollar investments. You should always be able to fix and upgrade your expensive radio system. With Jeti Radio systems you can always replace and upgrade your switches, knobs, sticks.

Same for me but I would not know which brand to buy in case HH does not come with a solution for the customers of the DX10t and DX18 (QQ) that everybody can live with, us and HH. A high-end radio is no investment for 6 months only. A radio for 800 - 900 Euro is ment to be used and up to date for some years. Maybe not in all aspects on the hardware side but the software must be kept in shape. As it is said the new software for the 10t is coming "soon" - depending on what soon is (already announce for half a year) - my decision will be taken latest early of the next flying season, I already make myself familiar to loose lots of money with my radios.

From a quality control point of view I find it very disappointing that my QQ is already demonstrating some of the issues (and perhaps worse) that you guys have mentioned, one of the rubber boots has deteriorated also (funny as I have not used that switch as yet); I have reported the issues to my local distributor who has passed on the info to HH. I had originally thought that it was an anodized plastic, but some seem to think that it may be painted, either way it is not acceptable for a radio of this caliber to be experiencing these issues.

It is pretty embarrassing and doesn't look good for SpXXXX when you bring their flagship tx to the flying field and everyone there sees the paint issue and asks what's being done and the answer is nothing. It has turned quite a few fellow flyers away from SpXXXX just seeing the QQ and no fix in sight

This is beyond a joke now. I still cannot believe that there has been no official response by HH and it does not appear they interested in fixing the problem at all, on what was supposed to be their flag ship radio! My 8 year old Futaba FF9 in a similar finish, never had a mark on it when I sold it and I am sure that the DX 9 will not have the same issue!

The guys who bought the DX18QQ just to have the finish scrape off as a result of normal use have a very legitimate gripe. A guy at my club has one and the paint is rubbing off around all the edges and he takes very good care of it. I'm sorry but that's a very sad, poor quality finish. The people that bought this radio deserve better than that and Spektrum shouldn't have short cut the finish process by painting over standard DX18 cases with dark bronze paint and calling it a "special edition".

This is the second time I contacted HH France for the paint problem.
First question: Answer, our transmitter has already been used and cannot be take in warranty. I should have put the transmitter under glass and watch it on a shelf!

This means that if your device is damaged by something other than manufacturer or material defect (Crash, User error ), you can purchase a replacement for 50% of that device's current retail price. For this warranty, we must first receive the damaged device.

Esprit Model is the US warranty and service center for all of the Jeti products that we sell. This means that if you have an issue with any Jeti item purchased through Esprit Model you should contact us directly to resolve the issue. Jeti Transmitters, JetiBox Profi and Phasor Race motors have a 24 month warranty (from date of purchase) against manufacturer and material defects. For details, refer to the item's user manual.
